The start of this new year has been very turbulent to me and my family as we experienced a loss of a family member. The happy memories of grandmother will always be in my heart. The last performance of “Il barbiere di Siviglia” last december was very special to me, as it was the first and last time my grandmother saw me perform in an opera. She loved it but wanted to know why we were singing in english all the time and not norwegian (we were ofcourse singing in Italian).
This coming last half year of my “year study” at the opera academy in Oslo there’s a lot of great things to look forward to. I will be singing the role of “Fenton” in the selection of scenes we will do from the opera “Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor” By Otto Nicolai. I am very much looking forward to this as it is beautiful music but also a challenging role. In march I will do the audition for the master program at the opera academy.
From 12th -15th of February this year I will go to Amsterdam and take part in a masterclass with my teacher in Holland, Raymond Modesti. I will be working on arias and on the last day it will be a presentation-concert. It will all take place in the Bethaniënklooster in Amsterdam.
Lots of love,
